2S cutting ring couplings are designed to meet requirements for ease of installation and, simultaneously, offer a high degree of functional safety.

The special cutting ring geometry ensures that the cutting ring is firmly positioned by the first strong cutting edge, while the subsequent second cutting edge provides additional security.

VOSS taper couplings are based on the reliable principle embodied in the 24° conical seal with O-ring. This principle provides additional reliability, even where high dynamic loads and vibration are involved.

VOSS taper couplings are distinguished by simple and reliable assembly characteristics. Their identical dimensions mean that they can also be installed without difficulty in existing hydraulic pipework where adjustable cutting ring couplings have been fitted to date.

The main reasons for the increasing frequency of their use is their fine sealing qualities, high resistance to pressure, the simple and rapid installation and mechanical ruggedness.

VOSS DKO couplings are supplied with an FKM soft seal as a standard feature.

VOSS flared couplings particularly demonstrate their enormous functionality under extreme stress such as pressure increases, vibration and flexural torques.

The retaining function is fulfilled by the combined flared/clamping ring principles. The 10° flare angle prevents overexpansion of the tube - particularly where major tube wall thicknesses are involved.

The sealing function on the connecting piece is realised by the reliable sealing head of the flared cone. The sealing function on the tube connection side is achieved by very high surface pressure and the supporting labyrinth sealing effect on the taper surface.

VOSS BV-10 flared couplings can be fitted simply and speedily and function more reliably than weld connections.

The VFS 90 is a tube coupling with an O-ring seal at the front. The counter sealing surface on the tube for the O-ring mounted on the connector is either formed by the tube end flared to 90° or the face of a sleeve soldered to the end of the tube. The coupling meets the requirements of SAE J1453 and ISO 8434-3 and is approved up to 630 bar (depending on the tube diameter). The VFS 90 is used in construction machinery and, increasingly, also in other hydraulic applications where high pressures must be realised. Its fitting simplicity (insertion of the tube into the coupling is dispensed with) means that the VFS 90 is also ideally suitable for maintenance and repair solutions. Tubes with inch (imperial) dimensions can also be connected by using appropriate sleeves.

A contour is formed on the end of the commercially available hydraulic tube using the VOSS forming unit. Supplemented with a soft seal in the secondary area and the SQR nut, a simple and superior quality connection is created which provides maximum resilience and reliability.

With its innovative design, VOSSFormSQRVA is based on proven and reliable VOSS design principles. A contour is formed on the end of the commercially available hydraulic tube using the VOSS forming unit. Supplemented with a soft seal in the secondary area and the SQR nut, a simple and superior quality connection is created which provides maximum resilience and reliability.

A complete tube coupling range conforming to DIN EN ISO 8434-1 made of stainless steel. The system includes different designs of cutting rings, straight, shaped, conical seal, rotary and swivel couplings and valves. The design of reliable VOSS components was adapted to stainless steel (1.4571) throughout the range to meet the highest requirements of assembly and reliability characteristics. In the case of cutting ring couplings for outer tube diameters from 6 to 42 mm, the user can choose between the 2SVA system with two cutting edges and the ES-4VA soft sealing cutting ring.

Both cutting ring systems can be fitted to standard VOSS preassembly equipment.

Note: typical areas of use are the chemical industry, shipbuilding, offshore engineering and industrial applications characterised by particular requirements with regard to corrosion resistance and a long service life.
