October 1, 2017
VOSS Automotive, Mexico, recently celebrated the inauguration of its new production plant in Industrial Park, located in the municipality of Arteaga, in Coahuila, Mexico.
Construction of the facility was completed within 10 months, and it’s ramping up production of an extensive product portfolio for the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) market.
VOSS held a special ceremony at the new plant to mark its official grand opening. Attendees of the event included honors guests from: parent company VOSS Automotive, GmbH, and its Board of Directors; VOSS Automotive, Inc.; Coahuila state representatives; and several key customers.
The occasion kicked off with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a procession of distinguished guest speakers who applauded VOSS’ achievement, including Rubén Ignacio Moreira Valdez, Governor of Coahuila. The event wrapped up with a “baile folklórico” (folkloric dance) and a tour of the new plant.
Sitting on approximately 10 acres, VOSS’ new state-of-the-art, 160,000-square-foot production plant includes space for future production capacity expansion.
“Within six years, we’ve moved from renting space to building, and moving into, our own production plant,” said Jesus Navarro, General Manager, VOSS Automotive, Mexico. “VOSS is poised in the NAFTA market, and this facility further solidifies our commitment to producing exceptional products for our customers.”
Production at the Industrial Park facility has begun, and product line offerings and capacity will increase, according to NAFTA market development. Currently, injection molding, electrically heated SCR lines, coolant lines, and extrusion capabilities are offered.
“We’re thankful for having the opportunity to expand our business and become an integral part of the community,” said Navarro. “We look forward to sharing our success.”
